~ tell your story

Have you lost a family member or other beloved person to violence, to murder, to state execution? Have you witnessed or directly experienced violence?

Have you been incarcerated or do you work in a jail or prison?

Are you a police officer or deputy sheriff, a fire fighter, or an EMS worker who has responded to or investigated an act of violence? Are you a minister, imam, rabbi, priest, or other member of the clergy or spiritual advisor to people who have endured violence? Are you a bailiff, a lawyer, a judge? Have you been a juror in a criminal case involving violence?

As you go about your life, do you experience daily violence because of who you are, where you were born, who you desire, who you love, how you present your gender, what language you speak, what your body looks like, or what you can and cannot do?

Do you want other people to know and understand what you experience?

We want to hear what you have to say. We need to hear what you have to say. We will listen – with our hearts open and our biases set aside – to each person’s story: to your story.

How, exactly, does this work? Read about your interview here.
