In most cases, students working with us for academic credit perform tasks for the benefit of the project (such as transcription, editing, or proofreading) and also take responsibility for individual research projects on specific subjects that they choose in consultation with their instructors and with Texas After Violence Project Staff. Ideally, the service work and the individual research is the same, or is overlapping or closely related.
