listen in communityThe oral history interviews are compelling in themselves, but will be of most help when people watch and reflect on the stories together. The Texas After Violence Project is eager to share public interviews with you and your community organization, co-workers, congregation, class, labor union, family, book club, professional association, friends, or other group. We propose coming to you and showing you one or more videotaped interviews, or portions of of videotaped interviews, that are now public, and then talking together. Experienced and knowledgeable Texas After Violence Project representatives will facilitate a discussion for your group, or co-facilitate the discussion with a person from your organization. Because our work is both labor-intensive and costly (in terms of travel and technology), we request an honorarium or fee, although we will reduce or waive the fee in appropriate circumstances. The project will only participate in events that are open to the public if these events take place in locations fully accessible to people with disabilities. Please call us at 512.916.1600 to make a date. Click here to see a partial listing of some of our past presentations. Support our work with a donation today. The Texas After Violence Project is a public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, per an Internal Revenue Service determination letter of August 10, 2009. Contributions to the Texas After Violence Project made at any time after its incorporation on April 10, 2007, are tax-deductible. |
