![]() Pedro S. Cruz is a public interest lawyer and the branch manager of Texas RioGrande Legal Aid (TRLA, formerly Texas Rural Legal Aid) in Harlingen, where he has practiced law since 1984. In addition to his responsibilities for the Harlingen office, Mr. Cruz also manages the Education Practice Area Team. This team is composed of TRLA lawyers and paralegals in the Corpus Christi, Edinburg, Harlingen, San Antonio, and Austin offices, and in the Laredo office for migrants, who represent clients concerning school admissions, bilingual education, migrant education, school discipline, special education programs for disabled students, and other education matters. Mr. Cruz’s practice also includes labor and employment, juvenile justice, voting rights, criminal defense and individual and civil rights in Cameron, Willacy, and Hidalgo Counties. Pedro S. Cruz received both his B.A. in Sociology and his J.D. from the University of Texas. He joined the Texas After Violence Project board for a four-year term beginning on September 1, 2008. |
