 (l - r) Papa Diallo, Gabe Solis, Jamaal Beazley In April, 2008, Papa, Gabe, and Jamaal were college seniors at Huston-Tillotson University, the University of Texas at Austin, and Sam Houston State University, respectively. Each of these young men was less than a month away from graduation. Papa and Gabe came to Huntsville, planning to interview Jamaal in front of the Walls Unit but a heavy rainstorm forced a change in plans. At Chili's they found refuge and lunch. Ultimately, the interview took place at the Huntsville Public Library. We thank Terrie Newman, Richard Lane, and Linda Dodson for their kindness. |
