August 18, 2009 update: We have just received a determination letter from the Internal Revenue Service, which has found that the Texas After Violence Project is a public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions to the Texas After Violence Project are tax-deductible. Such contributions already were deductible, but they went through our fiscal sponsor, the Austin Community Foundation, a 501(c)(3) private foundation.

Austin Community Foundation is the fiscal sponsor of the Texas After Violence Project. All donations to the Texas After Violence Project that go through the Foundation are tax-deductible. The Texas After Violence Project is also a member of Greenlights for Nonprofit Success and I Live Here I Give Here, Central Texas' Campaign for Philanthropy.

Here are three ways to donate to the Texas After Violence Project today.

2. Donate online. Please click here to Make a Donation. You'll need to select the Texas After Violence Project Fund from the drop-down menu under "Category" before you enter the amount that you wish to donate.
