Will you interview me about my experiences?

Do you have a story to tell? Yes, we want to listen.

Yes, we want to interview people whose lives have been directly affected by serious violence, especially murder and capital murder; the immediate response, investigation, and legal proceedings; incarceration; and executions.

Yes, we are eager to hear the voices of

- people who have lost family members, close friends, neighbors, co-workers, teachers, students, mentors, customers or clients or patients, teammates, or significant persons in their lives to murder

- people who have lost family members, close friends, neighbors, co-workers, teachers, students, mentors, customers or clients or patients, teammates, or significant persons in their lives to executions

- emergency medical personnel, firefighters, law enforcement, victims service providers, and other "first responders"

- funeral home directors and staff

- health care providers, counselors, therapists, psychologists and psychiatrists

- jail personnel, parole and probation officers, detectives and private investigators

- clergy, religious and spiritual advisors, members of religious congregations

- prosecutors, defense attorneys, paralegals, magistrates, judges, court personnel, jurors, and witnesses

- correctional officers, wardens, persons who participate in executions

- media witnesses to executions

and other people who will share their own experiences.

We are not looking to interview people to find out their opinions or what they think (although those may come out) but to hear their experiences.

No, we will not interview anyone who is unable to consent to an interview, both in "real" terms and legally. So, one of the things that means is that we will not interview children or anyone under 18 years old. When you turn 18 and are legally able to consent, we will interview you -- and we're looking forward to hearing your story.

Yes, we will travel to wherever you are in Texas to hear your story.

No, unfortunately, right now we do not have a way to pay for travel outside of Texas, although yes of course we would like to interview people wherever they are.

See how we interview for more information, or call or write us. We look forward to hearing from you!
