![]() Kimberly Anne Bacon Kimberly Bacon graduated in May 2009 from the College of Communication at the University of Texas at Austin. Before living in Austin, she called San Antonio home; she has also lived in other parts of the U.S. and abroad. Through a study abroad program, she spent time in Italy, where she was able to meet members of her extended family. As a student, she participated in the Communication Council, the governing body for student activities in the College of Communication, and the pre-law fraternity Beta Alpha Rho. Ms. Bacon has worked as a volunteer with the Humane Society and the Heart House in Austin. She came to the Texas After Violence Project in the fall of 2007, initially as an volunteer interview transcriber and then a videographer and coordinator. Ms. Bacon became the project assistant director in August 2009. She is primarily responsible for coordinating all technical aspects of the project, as well as for training others to use the camera, import tapes into Final Cut Pro, make DVDs, and uploading DVDs to the web. Recently, she became a member of the board of the Ortralla LuWone Mosely Foundation, Inc., which works to prevent abuse in teen dating. |
