The Texas After Violence Project welcomes interns, community historians, and volunteers of all ages and backgrounds.

We welcome students who wish to work with us in conjunction with a class or community service requirement, for service learning, an internship, or academic credit, or simply as volunteers. If you are in high school, college, or graduate or professional school, please read for students and expectations of undergraduate interns.

But you certainly do not need to be a student to work with us!!

What do interns, students, community historians, and other volunteers do? Interns and volunteers perform many different tasks requiring a variety of skills and levels of commitment. One size does not fit all. We’d like to talk with you to figure out if there is a good match between your interests, skills, and availability and our project.

If you are interested in working with the Texas After Violence Project, please

1) Read this website carefully. You'll find many of your questions answered here.

2) Please complete this application for interns, community historians, & other volunteers.

Not in Austin, but still want to participate? That's great! Please get in touch with us. We interview people across Texas and are looking for friends and coworkers in every part of the state. Let's see how we can work together.

Thank you for your interest. We look forward to meeting you!
