 Celeste Henery is a researcher and writer. She recently received her PhD in Anthropology and African Diaspora Studies from the University of Texas at Austin and is currently conducting research on race and mental health. In 2003, she began research in Brazil and continues her work with black communities and activists in that country around questions of social struggle, mental wellness and transformative living. Her work broadly concentrates on mental health, race, gender, and aging in the Americas, and integrates photography. |
