![]() Adam S. Mehis was born and raised in McAllen, Texas. He received his Bachelor of Arts at the University of Texas, Pan-American and moved to San Francisco, California to pursue his Master of Arts degree in Ethnic Studies at San Francisco State University. Currently, he is working on his PhD degree at the University of Texas at Austin. His academic interests include African American studies, education, violence studies, womanist and Black feminist theory, youth studies, and mixed race studies. His work often employs an intersection framework in order to highlight the compounding effects of multiple marginalized identities. |
